Snowy Resolutions

In the last week, I've been snowed in more than I've been able to get out. Philadelphia and much of the East Coast, for those who have been under a rock, got hit with not one, but two major storms inside of 5 days leaving us with nearly four feet of snow. There are banks of snow literally over 6 feet in height--a sight I haven't witnessed in a very long time. It is a snow record year here, and apparently, we are not done, with another several inches forecast for tomorrow.

It has also become apparent that the "resolutioners" have met their fate... Super Bowl Sunday feasts followed by the official start of the Spring candy season which has left plenty of space at the gym these days. But what of my thoughts on big picture items for the new fiscal year? For the first time, it is a question I'm struggling with the answers. Nonetheless, I have a few things to consider for the year...
  • I will refrain from coloring my hair a shade that does not naturally occur, on purpose. After the purple hair of Halloween rendered itself more permanent than promised and then went green, this seems like a no-brainer.
  • Since I am on a quest to become a homeowner, let's throw that one in here for good measure, since the next item on my list is directly related.
  • Obtaining a subscription to Mother Jones so that I can realize my vision of hippie lifedom in my home.
  • Complete the writing of my two books in progress.
So, there you have it, my Valentine resolutions. Lofty enough a vision, really. Especially while I continue to work on those from last year... like growing my hair to an inappropriate length for my age, which has kept me quite busy (and if you don't believe me, you try managing long, thick hair)!
